90’s and 2000’s “otaku” culture was wild. We consumed EVERYTHING we could get our hands on. Comic shops carrying single issues of Ranma, catching Toonami after school, browsing fan sites through the Anime Web Turnpike. Weebs took the scraps they could get from Glorious Nippon and formed a community. And you know what people like to gloss over about those days? Porn played a huge part of that community. And I think that’s an interesting part of the industry and culture.

Part of the culture kinda came from us Americans. Just as the export of Mickey Mouse inspired the works of Tezuka and created the “look” of anime, big Western breasts shaped the landscape of Japanese entertainment. To the point that “anime” is synonymous with overly animated boob jiggle. This book focuses on two artists inspired during the Big Boob Boom of the 80’s to go to the extreme. And one game studio that continues to carry the torch of “what if breasts were just the biggest?”

OLDTACO Volume 2 is my love letter to the incredibly endowed manga ladies who have inspired generations of eroge artists. 44 pages of essays and illustrations covering the titles “BUST UP SCHOOL”, “Welcome to Maison Chichigami”, and “BLUE EYES”.
